After the repair
We pressure test the repaired section and inspect the rest of the visible pipework. If we see that a similar fault is developing elsewhere, we tell you right away — the decision is yours.
Material and method depend on the nature of the fault
A small cracked section can often be replaced with a new fitting or a short piece of pipe without major dismantling of the wall. If the inside of the pipe is corroded over a longer stretch, it's more sensible to replace the whole visible section, otherwise the same fault returns somewhere else after a while.
Repair in an apartment vs. a house
In an apartment, a wall or section of floor often has to be opened, and care is taken not to disturb neighbouring apartments too much. In a house, access to the pipes is usually easier, but if the fault is in the basement or an underground section, digging may also be needed.
How to prevent faults

- Yes. If needed, we locate the leak and open only the necessary part of the wall or floor.
- Does the whole pipework need replacing after a repair?
- Not always. If the pipework is generally in good condition, repairing the faulty section is enough. If the pipes are corroded throughout, we'll tell you and you can decide about replacement yourself.
