Shower enclosure and cabin installation
A poorly sealed shower enclosure lets water into the structure over time. We install shower enclosures, cabins and shower systems so the water stays where it belongs.
- Call-outs around the clock
- Price confirmed before the work
- An honest assessment of the problem
Scope of work
- Preparation of the shower tray or floor drain
- Wall and glass installation, levelling
- Drain connection and slope check
- Mixer and shower system installation
- Silicone sealing and water test
When it's worth replacing a shower enclosure
If the old glass is mouldy, the seal no longer holds, or the floor drain runs slowly, installing a new system is simpler than patching the old one. We also help choose a suitable drain location if the floor is being changed at the same time.
What to think through before installation
- The shower enclosure's dimensions and corner orientation relative to the bathroom layout
- Drain location and floor slope to direct the water
- Sealing allowance between the wall and glass, especially in corners and on uneven walls
- Mixer location if it's installed inside the shower wall
Maintenance after installation
The seals and silicone on a new shower enclosure need drying time in the first days before it's used at full force. Later, it's worth checking the silicone sealing occasionally and renewing it if needed so water can't get behind the wall.
What affects the scope of work
- Whether it's a shower tray enclosure or a floor drain walk-in shower
- The suitability of the floor slope and drain location
- Wall flatness, which affects glass installation and sealing
- Whether the mixer stays on the wall surface or is installed inside the wall
Shower enclosure installation in Tallinn and Harjumaa
We install shower enclosures and cabins in Tallinn and Harjumaa. In an apartment building we work with the existing drain and riser location, while in a private house the drain can more often be rearranged.
Frequently asked questions
- Can the shower enclosure be used right after installation?
- The silicone sealing needs drying time, so we recommend using the shower sparingly in the first days. We tell you on site when it's fully ready for use.
- Do you also install a floor drain shower without a tray?
- Yes, if the floor slope and drain allow it. If the floor is being built at the same time, we help choose the drain location.
- Do you remove the old shower cabin?
- Yes, we disconnect the old cabin and remove it before installing the new one.
