We identify the location of existing utility networks and agree access and the order of works. This avoids damaging cables and pipes and unnecessary extra work.

Excavation works step by step

First we visit the plot, check access and the ground, and mark the planned route of the line. Then we dig the trench, install or repair the pipework, carry out a pressure test or connection, and backfill the trench layer by layer, compacting the ground properly.

On a tight city plot in Tallinn we use smaller equipment to minimise damage to landscaping and fences — on larger plots in Harjumaa, it's often quicker to work with bigger machinery.

Permits and approvals

The location of the line and connection to the public network may require approval from the network operator and the local municipality, and existing utility locations must be checked before digging. We help plan the route of the line, but the necessary permits and approvals are usually arranged by the client.
