PE pipe welding

We weld PE (polyethylene) pipes on outdoor mains and technical systems. A welded joint is uniform with the pipe material, giving a durable, leak-proof connection.

Welding methods

  • Butt welding for larger-diameter pressure pipes
  • Electrofusion welding in narrow trenches and repair work
  • Transitions to existing cast-iron, steel or PVC pipework

Where welding is needed

Most often on the construction and repair of outdoor water and sewer mains, connections, and stormwater pipework. We also weld during excavation work, so an entire job can be completed by a single crew.

What we pay attention to in a welded joint

Before welding we clean and centre the pipe ends, since dirt or misalignment leaves a weak point in the joint. Each joint's parameters — temperature, pressure and cooling time — must match the regime set by the pipe manufacturer, otherwise the connection won't reach the required strength.

Excavation and welding together

If the run needs to be dug up, we plan the excavation and welding for the same visit so the trench doesn't stay open for long. This also reduces the need to restore the surrounding area.
