Toilet installation and replacement

A wobbly, cracked or leaking toilet is not something worth patching up yourself. We install both a regular floor-standing toilet and a wall-hung one with a concealed cistern.

  • Call-outs around the clock
  • Price confirmed before the work
  • An honest assessment of the problem

Scope of work

  • Removal of the old toilet and drain preparation
  • Installation and fixing of the new toilet
  • Cistern connection and adjustment
  • Angle valve and water connection renewal
  • Leak and flush check

Wall-hung or floor-standing toilet?

A wall-hung toilet with a concealed cistern looks cleaner and makes floor cleaning easier, but requires a frame and wall preparation. A floor-standing toilet is a quicker solution in an existing bathroom where the pipework doesn't need to change.

Common problems we fix

  • The toilet rocks on the subfloor and leaks at the fixing point
  • The cistern doesn't fill or runs continuously
  • The old toilet is cracked or full of sediment
  • The button or lever is broken but the cistern is fine

When repair is enough and when replacement is needed

A faulty flush mechanism, worn seal or broken button is usually repairable, and the toilet itself can stay. If the toilet has a crack, the fixing holes are crumbled, or the old cast-iron floor connection no longer seals, installing a new toilet makes more sense than repeated patching.

We assess the situation on site and tell you which route is realistic for that particular toilet — the decision is yours.

Preparation and checks after installation

Before installation we check the drain location and condition, the angle valve, and the load-bearing capacity of the wall or floor. For a wall-hung toilet it's essential that the frame is firmly fixed, since it carries the entire load.

After installation we flush several times, check the tightness of the connection, and make sure the toilet doesn't move and no water collects at the floor connection.

What affects the scope of work

  • Whether it's a floor-standing toilet on an existing connection or a wall-hung one with a frame
  • Whether the old toilet's drain connection is cast iron or plastic
  • Whether the wall or floor needs to be opened for the connection
  • Whether the angle valve and water connection also need renewal

Toilet installation in Tallinn and Harjumaa

We work in Tallinn and the nearby Harjumaa municipalities. In an apartment building the choice is set by the existing drain height and riser location, while in a private house the connection can more often be rearranged.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take the old toilet away?
Yes, we disconnect the old toilet and remove it. By agreement we can also take it off site.
Does installing a wall-hung toilet break the tiles?
If the frame is already inside the wall, no tiles need to be broken. If the frame still needs to be installed, opening the wall is necessary, and we discuss this before starting work.
Can I buy the toilet myself?
Yes. We tell you in advance whether the chosen toilet fits the existing drain and connections, or whether a different model is worth choosing.
